Dear Parishioners,
It is with great Joy that we enter the Christmas season this year. We pray that the Holy Family will watch over Our Lady of the Angels Parish in the coming year. As noted in the bulletin these last weeks, we will have a new schedule for the winter wherein all masses will be held at St. Mary’s Church. Cardinal Sean has relegated for profane use (to make a former Church unconsecrated) St. Helen’s Church as of Midnight on January 1st. This will allow for the property to be sold for non-holy use.
We are excited as to what our future will bring and we will continue to be transparent with our plans as soon as they are available. We ask you to continue to pray for this unprecedented endeavor of bringing three Churches and three towns together to worship. We continue to ask for your patience and prayers in this process.
We are as busy as ever and continue to evangelize with your help. Many who need to be introduced to the vibrant parish that is Our Lady of the Angels. We thank you for the excitement, joy and participation of all and look forward to praying with you in these changing times.
Fr. Chris
WELCOME TO OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS PARISH! (previously known as St. Mary's, St. Helen's, St. Thecla's Parish)
On October 2, 2022, the Feast of the Guardian Angels, Cardinal Sean O’Malley has decreed that our parish shall hereby be known as Our Lady of the Angels Parish. We thank all of the parishioners for their input, and are excited to be moving forward together as one parish under our new name.
Our Lady of the Angels, pray for us!
As of July 1, 2021, with the additional of St. Thecla's in Pembroke we are now one Parish with 3 worship sites, known as "St. Mary's, St. Helen's, St. Thecla's Parish". Our pastor remains, Fr. Christopher J. Hickey, with Father Joe McCarthy becoming our Parochial Vicar. We are thrilled to being a new chapter as one Parish and hope you will joyfully join us in worship and ministry !
As of June 4, 2014, St. Mary of the Sacred Heart has officially entered into Phase Two Pastoral Planning collaboration with St. Helen, Mother of the Emperor Constantine in Norwell.
Each parish community is unique and distinct, but with one Pastor, Father Christopher Hickey, one collaborative staff, and one mission; "Moving forward in faith in the spirit of radical hospitality."
We have named our collaborative the "Holy Mothers Collaborative" in order to honor both Mary and Helen, after which our churches are named. You will increasingly see our Holy Mothers Collaborative logo as we grow our collaborative family.
Please check back our Collaborative Updates page as we more fully develop our pastoral plans and calendar of events to better serve the parishioners of the Holy Mothers Collaborative of St. Mary's and St. Helen's.
