Adult Confirmation Preparation Program 
(For Adults over 19 years old)

Adult Confirmation (for those over 19 years of age)

will resume in March of 2025

(781) 826-4303.  Our Adult Confirmation Preparation program has a $150/ per person fee to cover the cost of materials.  If this is causes a financial hardship, please let us know.

Adult Confirmation Preparation is a combination of remote and in-person learning.
 In-person sessions are held on 6 consecutive Sundays starting on Sunday, March 9th at  4:45 PM, just prior to our 6:00PM Sunday Life Teen Mass.  The 6 Sunday sessions will be at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church Life House (lower church) at 392 Hanover Street (Route 139), Hanover, Ma 02339.

6 Sundays sessions for Adult Confirmation Prep in 2025 will be:
 March 9, 16, March 23, March 30,  April 6, April 13  

All Adult confirmation candidates will need to provide us with a baptismal certificate, from the parish where you were baptized. If you were baptized at St. Mary's (Hanover), St. Helen's (Norwell), or St. Thecla's (Pembroke), please let us know and we can look that record up for you.

This is the Adult Confirmation Virtual Learning portion of the Adult Confirmation Program at Our Lady of the Angels Parish.  This Program is for Adults who have pre-registered with us. If you have not registered with us yet, please contact Deacon John Murray at (781) 826-4303 or via the email listed above.

Important Note: If you have been referred here to us by another parish you are welcome to participate in this online course but know that your home parish must take care of the preliminary information for preparing you for confirmation and must approve your eligibility for confirmation.

We are using this online format to enhance your knowledge of the Catholic faith and allow you to use the online videos and documents (links posted below) to study at your own pace and at a time that works for you.

The video lnks below come from the Augustine Institute's Formed.org digital platform. In order to access them you will need to sign in and create an  account with your email address.

Instructions for creating a "Formed" account

On the left side of this page under "News" or below:

1. Navigate to Formed.org
2. Click on the sign-up button
3. A screen will pop up, asking you to select your parish or organization(not the individual button). Please select "Parishioner"
4. Then Select "St. Mary's, St. Helen's, St. Thecla's Parish" under zip code "02339"
5. Follow any additional prompts and you should be all set.
6. When returning to Formed.org just sign in with your email address, no password is needed.

Adult Confirmation Course Expectations:

- Be available by phone to discuss our program and register with us
- Watch the videos listed below
- Read the required readings
- Fill out the Journal entries and submit to us
- After completion of the course, be available for a short telephone interview

The attached Adult Confirmation Journal  document contains the questions we would like you to reflect upon, and journal about, based the videos and readings you have completed above.

The purpose of these  questions is not so much to "quiz" and "grade" you, but rather to get you to think about what you have seen in the videos and how you can integrate the teachings into your lives of faith.

We would suggest composing your answers off-line and  then copy and paste into the answer boxes of the online Confirmation Form at the bottom of this page.  Then when you are ready to submit comments on all of the questions, please complete the form and submit all of them at once.  Please note: You cannot save the online form (below) and come back to it later to edit or complete it. Therefore,  it is recommended that you prepare your answers to the journal questions in another document (such as word or google docs) so when you have completed your thoughts you can copy and paste the answers into this document all at once and submit it when it is complete. 

Confirmation for Young Adults (18 years old or younger)
Individuals 19 years of age or younger who are interested in being confirmed in our parish should register with us for our Confirmation Prep Program. Registration can be found at LifeTeenSMASH.com/confirmation.
